Students
are excited to dive into their race car tracks this week putting their knowledge
of adding and subtracting decimals to use.
On Friday, students figured out supplies and purchased materials to
create their tracks, and today they will be building! Students will have to use their Maker skills,
as well as, problem solve through their tracks in order to achieve the greatest
point value’s possible! We are excited
for the fun that is in store today and hope to share our learning with you
soon! Stay tuned for some fun!
We
are also continuing our work with matter and will explore some mystery
substances and their properties of matter. Students will also continue working
on their explorer’s unit where they have become part of a famous explorers crew
and finally, we will finish up our work with Sacraments, as we share our knowledge
with RCIA agents! Whew! What a week
ahead for us!!
Raz-Kids
Don’t forget! One Raz Kids story need to be read each week!
Beginning this week,
on Thursdays students will be required to complete one reading story in RAZ
Kids as a homework assignment. Students will be asked to have the
assignment completed by each Friday, however they are welcome to do this any
day of the week. Coming home this week, in your child's STAR book will be
their log in information, which I hope to also email out to you in the
upcoming days.

Grades
It’s
hard to believe the end of first quarter is already here! I am working on
getting grades updated into the grade book, however you may check in to ensure
your child has turned in all missing assignments! For some reason we still have a few
holes. I hope to have everything up to
date and completed by Wednesday. Please
contact me if you have any questions.
Flipped Videos
Your
child will receive one flipped video in math this week! We are also going to be starting flipped
videos in language. Students will be
asked to watch one or two videos a week in language as well as math. As always, students will be given two days to
complete their video assignments. Please
contact me with questions!
Ernie Miller Field Trip
Thank
you to those of you who set in your permission trip forms and money! If you haven’t done so yet, please send those
to school ASAP! We will be leaving for
our field trip on Thursday morning at 8:15.
Students can dress out of uniform! They
will need to be in tennis shoes and long pants. We will be walking through trails and outside
all of the day. Students will want to be
sure to wear tennis shoes for walking and long pants to prevent tics! Sack
lunches are also needed. If you
could please send it in a disposable bag
with your child’s name written on it.
Lunch boxes are fine, but disposables are preferred. The weather forecast is 50-60 degrees. If your child would like to bring a sweatshirt or jacket, that may be
helpful too! We will return back to
school around 2:00.
