As we begin another fast and furious week, please be sure to take
a few moments to wash those hands and disinfect your home! We have had several
different bugs going around the classroom and I would encourage you to continue
washing hands and staying clean to help prevent these germs from continuing to
spread!
Scholastic Book Orders
Book orders came home last week and will
be due next Wednesday January 25th.
Don’t forget, each child receives a birthday
coupon on or around their birthday (half or summer babies). Please remember to take advantage of the free
book!
President/First Lady Research Paper
The fifth grade students will be working
on a research paper based on a first lady or former president of the United
States. Their paper will include three
different resources, included websites and books. Coming home tonight will be a packet of
information that will lay this project out for you in greater detail. There will also be a schedule of due dates
for different portions of the assignment.
To wrap up this project, students will participate in a wax museum and
will share out what they learned! Stay
tuned for specific dates and times of this event!
Server Training
We hope to begin server training next
Wednesday. Please be watching for
information and a schedule for mass signups.
Tutoring Opportunities
Several parents/students have reached out for some tutoring
opportunities. I would like to
extend the following hours to students if they are interested in after school
practice, specifically with math. Students who attend will work on skills being taught in the
classroom, as well as, review previously taught skills. Please let me know if this is
something that you would be interested in and what days work best for you and
your child.
